If you live in the Northern California area, check out
my weekly column in the Monday
edition of the Record
Searchlight in the Health Section for information regarding your
questions on many orthopedic conditions.
An excellent source on the web for orthopedic problems is the
American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeon's
Orthopedic
Connection. It will give you fact sheets and brochures.
In addition you can subscribe to their quarterly newsletter by
E-mail for new topics and links to their articles. |
Welcome
Dr. Nichols and his staff want you to know you will receive quality,
compassionate medical care in this office. We operate as a team,
so please feel free to ask questions whenever you do not understand - or
are just curious about - the nature of your medical condition or
treatment.
Dr. Nichols treats patients of all ages, from children to senior
citizens. He manages and treats special problems of many areas of
the musculoskeletal system including the shoulder, elbow, hands,
fingers, hip, knee, ankle, foot and all of the muscles.
This web site is intended to complement and extend the convenience
and information available through our office. We believe it is
very important that we listen to our patients and this site gives us the
opportunity to extend that dialogue.
It is our belief that patients should be aware of their medical
professionals' accomplishments, such as the high level of training of
Dr. Nichols and his staff. We know the importance of information
that needs to be available to you. What to expect at your
appointment and answers concerning insurance and billing procedures are
accessible at this web site.
We invite you to browse our website.
Of course, we are always available by phone during normal business
hours, or in case of an emergency.
What is Orthopaedics?
A medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis,
treatment and prevention of illnesses and injuries of the
musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, ligaments, muscles and
tendons. Orthopaedists treat traumatic injuries to bones, such as
fractures and dislocations; disturbances in joints, such as sprains,
torn cartilages, or sprained ligaments; and inflammation of muscles or
connective tissues, such as arthritis, bursitis and tendonitis.
If you have need of any of these services, or just have questions
about them, we invite you to call us at 246-2430.
